Tracy is a registered general psychologist who does therapy for adults. She has experience working with the forensic population, in an EAP setting, private practice, and conducting IQ assessments. Tracy thinks her style can be best described as warm, genuine, and authentic. She tries to be herself and personable with her clients, and builds rapport and trust with clients quickly. Tracy can be also quite adaptive in her style and approaches, depending on each client’s unique individual needs and preferences.
Tracy combines multiple modalities in her therapy, including schema therapy, emotionally focused individual therapy, principles from ISTDP (intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy), motivational interviewing, and strength-based approaches. She believes every individual has their own unique values, strengths, and intuition, and really tries to help clients build their awareness of these.
Tracy has a special interest in culture-related issues, and the role of culture and ethnicity in each individual’s psychological suffering. Born in China and migrated to Australia in high school, she has unique insight into the impacts of cultural and migration issues in culturally-diverse clients living in Australia. Tracy can also conduct therapy in Mandarin.
